The Future, Repeats Itself

Ok, I don’t normally rant or vent about things, but it’s so sad that people (especially current teenagers) that think that pictures of Skillit & Manson I’ve posted on my other Tumblr blog are “old”. Some of the pics are less than 15 years old some are even less than 10 years old. These are the same ppl that think that AC/DC are sooo cool…..yeah, do the math! Bands like Pink Floyd go back a few more years guys.

I consider myself a bit of a “futurist” and I don’t know how many people have noticed, but cultural movements from the 1970’s have been in for a few years(i.e.: Platform shoes, flared jeans, disco parties) all of which I predicted 4 or 5 years ago. I now foresee the 90’s re-emerging soon after (they were a reflection of the 70’s anyways). I’m rarely wrong about these things, so embrace them!

Give up your skinny jeans! Delete your 80’s hair-band playlist! “Big Hair” is NOT in! Stay current! Create a 90’s playlist! Buy yourself a choker! Embrace Skater Pants! Bust out a pair of Platforms!

Most importantly, don’t immediately judge something based on when it was originally popular, history has a way of repeating itself. ^_^
